Replacing a lampworker’s propane pipe

Might help if you need a bit of encouragement. The rubber pipes need to be replaced after some time, especially if they are exposed to sunlight. They are also dated with a recommended changeover date. Get help from someone qualified if you aren’t sure of yourself!

If you need to remove lemon clips, a tip from Sean on Frit Happens Forum is to use a pair of end nippers and twist repeatedly until the metal gives way.

  1. Tip - put the end of the new rubber pipe in very hot water, or perhaps use a hairdryer to soften it before forcing it back on. Twist it as you go. Mx
